Uwe Marquard joined the Deutsche Telekom Research Centre in 1995 after graduating from the Technical University Darmstadt with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He has held different management positions both within Germany and internationally, including assignments in Singapore and Switzerland. Currently, he serves as Director of Space Programs at Deutsche Telekom, overseeing strategic initiatives in European programs like Galileo and Copernicus. He has more than 15 years of experience in the space sector and is responsible for the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem contract with European Space Agency. His work bridges industry and space agency collaborations, driving innovation in digital infrastructure for Earth observation.
