To combat this, we need robust tools and independent experts. Telekom's prototype app allows users to fact-check posts before sharing. This session will explore disinformation's impact, the role of technology and businesses, and how we can restore trust and empower informed decisions.

Melanie Kubin-Hardewig is Vice President, Group Corporate Responsibility at Deutsche Telekom. She is responsible for the group-wide design and execution of Deutsche Telekom’s Corporate Responsibility Strategy. This covers a wide range of from environmental to social aspects, including sustainable supply chains and finance as well as the development of DT’s targets and KPIs. She also leads DT’s top sustainability initiatives.

Sina Laubenstein is the Director of Programs at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD). Based in Berlin, she is leading ISD Germany's regional strategy and expanding the organisation's portfolio in Europe. She oversees the inter-entity collaboration, aligning ISD Germany’s work with the global organisation. She is a recognised expert on online gender-based violence, hate speech, and disinformation. Prior to joining ISD, she advised on a law against digital violence and led an international project on hate speech online.

Ross Frenett is the Founder and CEO of Moonshot, a company developing technology to combat online harms. Under his leadership, Moonshot has forged pioneering partnerships with tech companies to implement safety-by-design solutions against terrorism, launched large-scale campaigns to combat disinformation in conflict zones, and deployed automated messaging to disrupt hate groups online.

Recognized internationally for his expertise in addressing online harms, Ross regularly advises global tech leaders and Heads of State on innovative approaches to these challenges. He oversees the development of Moonshot’s cutting-edge large language models.
