Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Frank H. P. Fitzek, IEEE Fellow, holds the Deutsche Telekom Chair for Communication Networks at the Dresden University of Technology and leads a research team of more than 100 scientists. His research focuses on cutting-edge topics such as 5G/6G communication systems, quantum and molecular communication, novel computing approaches, human-machine interaction, and information theory. Prof. Fitzek coordinates two large interdisciplinary research projects: the Cluster of Excellence “Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop” and the BMBF-funded initiative “6G-life”, a cooperation between TU Dresden and TU Munich.
