Deutsche Telekom, in close collaboration with global industry partners, has successfully completed the world’s first multi-vendor proof-of-concept for the 3GPP ATSSS standard, featuring multi-access connectivity with seamless handovers between cellular and Wi-Fi networks, applicable to a large variety of B2B and B2C use cases. Joining technology leaders from Deutsche Telekom, Mavenir, and Mediatek on stage, the Panel will discuss the value of advanced Multi-Access Connectivity with standards-based solutions.

At Deutsche Telekom Group Technology, Markus and his team are responsible for developing and shaping the strategy and architecture for the Group-wide core networks. As Head of Core & Network Services, he has a strong focus on the opportunities that 5G offers and works to demonstrate them. In addition, he is committed to refining and driving 5G and its successor in terms of efficiency and customer value. One result of this work is the seamless transition of different network accesses, such as between Wi-Fi and 5G, referred to as 5G ATSSS. Markus and his team played a key role in designing and implementing this technology.

Tamanna Jindal is Vice President and leads the System and Solution Architecture group at Mavenir for Core.  At Mavenir she oversees the end-to-end architecture for Core networks, ensuring seamless integration with radio access networks and other critical components. With 25+ years in the telecom industry, she has vast experience working across various domains from UE to RAN to 2G/3G/4G/5G Core. She has successfully led and contributed to numerous projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of both the technical intricacies and the business imperatives.
Tamanna holds Master of Science in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology And Science, Pilani and Bachelor of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engg from Thapar Institute of Engg and Technology, Patiala in India.

Dr. Mingxi Fan is currently the general manager of communication system design at Mediatek, Inc., leading worldwide commercial wireless system and firmware development, advanced research and standardization across cellular and connectivity, and strategic products. Previously he was the head of strategy at XCOM Labs Inc. driving innovation and ecosystem partnership in wireless edge computing. Before that, he was vice president of engineering at Qualcomm, where he drove key technology initiatives across 3G/4G/5G research, standards, and commercial product development.  Mingxi holds over 200 granted patents and received top innovation and contributor awards in multiple companies.  He received his Bachelor, Master and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1999 and 2002, respectively, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, where he also received the MIT Ernst A. Guillemin EE Master's thesis award in June’99.

When not on the end of a Teams call, Ian is most likely to be found traipsing across Salisbury Plain with his dogs; it is here he does most of his problem solving.
