With network APIs developers can directly interact with the network of a telecommunication provider (e.g. requesting a higher quality). Hemanth Sampath is the Vice President of engineering at Qualcomm, driving 5G expansion across new use-cases and devices such as XR/metaverse, cloud gaming and private networks.   Prior to this role, he held engineering leadership roles in Wi-Fi and 4G.  He received the 2013 Qualcomm IP Excellence Award and holds more than 290 patents. Hemanth received his PhD from Stanford University in 2001.
