5G From Space - Revolutionizing Connectivity

Olivier is building the overall Airbus cross-division strategy linked to the development of connectivity solutions. In that frame, Olivier is in charge of steering all the relevant activities while fostering synergies cross-division.
Over the past 30 years, Olivier has been working in the telecommunications industry. He has been leading the Satellite Communication Services business for Government customers including Operations and Solutions. He was also in charge of managing the relationship with all Satellite Network Operators for the group. Prior to this, Olivier held various roles in programs for Institutional and private customers as well as for the A380 development in Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
Olivier joined Airbus after completing a master degree in Computer Science and Telecommunication at the Institut National Polytechnique (N7) in Toulouse, France.

Oliver Hauw

Guillaume joined Eutelsat Group as a Director of Strategic Projects in September 2015 and was nominated Director of Innovation and Corporate Venture in 2022. He oversees the selection and development of transversal Innovation projects in cooperation with the Space ecosystem and he explores investment opportunities in innovating startups of the Space sector. 
He started his career in 2004 as a Strategy consultant at Arthur D. Little. He then joined Hachette Livre as the Director of Digital Education in 2011. 
Guillaume is French. He graduated from HEC Paris with a Master in Management in 2004.

Guillaume Scottez

Antje Williams is appointed as Senior Vice President in Group Technology for Business Creation since April 2022. In 2024 she additionally took over satellite program lead for the group being responsible for the development of satellite connectivity offering in different aeras of DT, the negotiations with the satellite provider, the engagement in different publicly funded research activities and the ground network support for European Satellite Systems.

Senior Vice President Business Creation  in Group Technology, Deutsche Telekom AG 

Xavier Lobao accumulates more than 35 years of professional experience in the space sector, primarily in satellite telecommunications. He joined the European Space Agency (ESA) in the year 2000 and has held since a number of different roles in the Telecommunications Department. Since 2012 he is the Head of the Future Projects Division, with responsibility over the setting up of new projects and initiatives in the telecommunication domain. In his position he overlooks trends in the telecommunication and satellite sector and tries to define the best supporting programmes to enhance industry’s competitiveness in the global market, mainly through Public-Private Partnerships. The role of satellite in 5G and 6G, Megaconstellations  and communications on the Moon are areas of strong focus currently, together with technological trends such as Optical communications, Quantum key distribution and optimisation in the usage of RF Spectrum for space systems. Since February 2023 he is acting Head of Strategy for the Directorate. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) as a Telecommunication Engineer (MSc), attended the International Space University (ISU) Summer Session Programme and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM).

Xavier Lobao

In this capacity, Tim has responsibility for consulting work across a range of topics and clients in the TMT sectors along with published research reports. In an ever changing industry, this means that change is the only constant. Aside from writing and editing, he is a regular presenter at conferences, public speaking engagements and in the media. Prior to this he was a European telecoms analyst at Enders Analysis. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science from Queens University in Canada, is a Chartered Manager from the Chartered Management Institute, and a Level 3 candidate in the CFA program.
