Technology Innovation: Deep Dive
Andreas Gladisch received the Dipl.-Ing. Degree in Theoretical Electro-techniques from the Technical University of Ilmenau and the PhD in Optical Communication from Humboldt University Berlin. He joined Deutsche Telekom in 1991, where he hold different positions dealing with optical networks, network architecture, network strategy and network-economics. From 2011 to 2016, he was in charge of the Innovation field "Convergent Networks” at Deutsche Telekom Innovation Laboratories, which concentrated on fixed mobile convergence and on convergence of IT and networks. Since 2017 he is responsible for topic “Emerging technologies” which is one domain of DTs headquarters function on ”Strategy, Technology and Innovation”. Dr. Gladisch is member of ITG and IEEE, has authored or co-authored more than 110 national and international technical conference or journal papers and holds several patents. He currently co-chair of mmWave project group of Telecom Infrastructure Project (TIP).
