Deutsche Telekom and partners are collaborating on an innovative concept of Full Stack Energy Efficiency based on the Horizontal TelCo Cloud. It aims to significantly lower the energy consumption and CO2 emission of the 5G Core without a Hardware refresh.

Deutsche Telekom and partners introduce Full Stack Energy Efficiency for 5G Core, using dynamic software and hardware scaling to reduce energy use and CO₂ emissions, striving for a “zero bit & zero watt” core.

Manuel is currently Program Lead Core Network Innovation at Deutsche Telekom, leading a passionate team of engineers and technologists who are dedicated to provide the “Most energy efficient Core”. He is at the forefront of driving innovation and shaping the future of the Horizontal Telco Cloud. 
Previously, he held various leadership positions. With over 20 years of international experience in the telecommunications industry, he has held roles spanning product development, solution design, network architecture, strategy, technology innovation prioritization. Obtained his Master in Communication and Information Technology in 2005 from Deutsche Telekom University in Leipzig.
